Services
This after-school literacy program will be offered 2 times per week over a 6 week period. It will focus on building foundational skills in both Dari and English, while supporting overall literacy success and social integration. Different levels of the program are outlined below:
LEVEL 1
Children will learn the alphabet, how to connect letters, and ultimately how to read and write their name.
LEVEL 3
Children will learn grammar and graduate to reading paragraphs and stories.
LEVEL 2
Children will start to recognize words, improve their vocabulary, and learn to read and write sentences.
LEVEL 4
Children will enhance their speaking skills by having daily presentations and speaking with one another.
